This detached property, on the outskirts of the town of Cádiar, is accessed along a short track and is set in its own, mainly fenced land.
On approaching the property there is a carport, a small patio area and a covered terrace, which is the full length of the house.
The main entrance leads into an open plan kitchen/living room. The kitchen is typically Alpujarran with curtain fronted units, marble worktops and a breakfast bar. It has a cooker with extractor above and space for a washer, fridge freezer and a dining table and chairs. A separate storage room is used as a pantry with space for a further refrigerator and shelving. The living area is a good size, big enough for three sofas. You will also find a log burner and french doors, leading out onto the covered terrace.
There are three double bedrooms with either built in or freestanding wardrobes. Another room that is currently being used as an office could provide a fourth bedroom. The family bathroom has a bathtub with a shower over, w/c, bidet and a vanity wash basin. A rear door leads to a concrete outside area stretching the length of the property. All windows are covered with fly screens.
Outside, stairs lead to a wonderful roof terrace with views of the mountains. Under the stairs is a small room for the solar batteries. A small wind turbine, placed away from the house, also provides energy to back up the solar.
The property has mains water and solar electricity plus a solar hot water system. The cortijo also benefits from a central heating system, powered by bottled gas.
A short walk from the house is a purpose built garage, which could easily house two or three cars. There is also a septic tank located near the garage.
The trees surrounding the land are mainly almond and olive.
