NEWLY-RENOVATED 4-BEDROOM TOWNHOUSE FOR SALE IN SCOTTBURGH

I have listed this property as a house, but in South African terminology it is a townhouse. Unfortunately, the Property Type box does not have "townhouse" as an option.

This stunning duplex townhouse unit has so much going for the new owner that it is difficult to know where to begin describing it, but here goes:

RENOVATIONS
1. To begin with the unit was not habitable when purchased and needed to undergo a complete refurbishment before we could move in, a costly lengthy project that took approximately four months to complete. Even after we moved in workers came in daily for a further month/6 weeks to complete final touches and fix up and redo what was not done right in the first place before we were satisfied.

The unit was damp-proofed, the floors on all the levels were ripped out and retiled, and the entire property was repainted inside and outside, items such as old baths, showers, toilets, basins kitchen sinks, and curtain railings, and the geyser were thrown out and replaced with new. A significant amount was invested in the demolishing and refurbishing of the property and the result is a new home that has only been lived for four months at the time of writing.

2. Top level: The cupboards in the three rooms were removed and replaced; both bathrooms, one en-suite, were refurbished with the old showers removed and replaced and the floors retiled. New basins and toilets were installed, and in the en-suite, the old bath was removed and replaced with a new one. The third room was converted into a fully functioning office complete with a tea cupboard and power points. The old space-wasting cupboards on the landing at the top of the stairs were replaced with two new modern, smaller cupboards. Wooden safety handrails were added to stair flight walls. Rooms have private balconies with a magnificent ocean view.

3. Ground level: Retiled and repainted and the entire kitchen unit was removed and replaced. Brand new eye-level oven and state-of-the-art gas stove installed, giving you two options when cooking. New dish-washing double sink installed. The guest toilet in the main entrance passageway was completely refurbished with a new toilet and basin. The front courtyard was retiled and repainted. The spacious patio overlooking the golf course and ocean was retiled, repainted, and furnished.

4. Basement level. Large room converted into a guest room with en-suite shower and toilet adjoining to a snug area with TV, cupboards, and furniture. Floors were retiled and repainted. The snug area also comprises an under-the-staircase storage area and a door leading into the two-level double garage with electric doors. All entrances secured with trellidor and windows burglar proogfed.

SUMMARY
The finished product is a new beautiful squeaky-clean luxury 4-bedroom 4-bathroom three-level home overlooking a golf course and the Indian Ocean that is a mere 200m to walk to from the garden area below with a private gate entrance onto the golf course. It's like living on a golf estate without paying the exorbitant rates, taxes, and other golf course fees!

Las Palmas is a quiet well-maintained ocean-facing complex about 7 minutes from the Scottburg Mall with the police station 300m up the road. The complex is within a 20-minute drive from Pennington which is host to great sea-view restaurants located in several golf estates and caravan sites in the area.
Several large developments, such as secure high-end estate complexes with accompanying schools, hotels, shopping malls, and other infrastructure are either underway or in the pipeline which is in line with what is happening along the KZN South Coast in general. This holds great promise for the future of this beautiful part of South Africa with its warm temperate sub-tropical weather and the value of property in the region.
The complex is 5 minutes from the N3 highway with the Wild Coast Casino approximately 90 minutes from Scottburgh and Durban less than an hour's drive away.
