The Area
Evia
Evia is located in the east of the central mainland in Greece. The island is connected with the rest of the country, by the sea via Glyfa or Akitsa, and via the high bridge of Chalkida and the old bridge of Evripos. Thus, although Euboea is an island, access to it is not solely dependent on weather conditions at the airport or the marine environment.

Northern Euboea is still unexplored and effortless by the massive influx of tourists. Those who discover her become fanatical followers mainly for the wonderful nature, the peaceful environment, the alternation of landscapes over short distances - from the sea of the Euboean Gulf and Aegean seas to the mountainous landscapes with picturesque villages inhabited by friendly people. Prokopi
Prokopi belongs to the Madoudi-Limni-Agia Anna municipality and is located in a beautiful landscape of pines and plane trees. In its center is a great church that was built to house the relics of St John the Russian, a miracle-working saint, whose body is preserved in its entirety and can be seen in the church within a silver reliquary.
Greek refugees from the village of Prokopi in Asia Minor carried the relics of the Saint when during the 1922 exchange of populations between Turkey and Greece they were forced to move to their new home in Evia which they named Prokopi.
Thousands of believers from all over Greece and also from abroad flock to Prokopi all through the year to pray, to honour and petition the Saint.
Pili
Pili is a settlement located on the east side of Evia, built 1000 meters from the beach where there is a small port. Its hospitable inhabitants are engaged in agriculture, livestock, and fishing.
