Central Portugal is peppered with hidden villages, tiny, peaceful places you come across by chance, usually when you’re looking for somewhere else; places where you stop to admire the unexploited countryside and suddenly realize that you can no longer hear the sound of traffic; where you look around and tell yourself, I could live here. Outside a BBQ and bread oven are set into the old stone walls – there’s a little Love Seat too. There is a font for spring water, and, a short distance from the house, a wooden cabin for guests.

You are only a few kilometers from the town of Gois, with all the services you may need, and all the things you may want, cafes, restaurants, the River Beach – but you’d never know it, the stunning views reach much further than that.

On a practical level, the property is easily accessible and is suitable for either full time residence or holiday accommodation – driving time from the airports of Porto and Lisbon are two and three hours respectively. The University City of Coimbra, with its main line rail connection, is 45 minutes away, you can reach the Coast in an hour.
